Project summary
The project involved the design and development of a native app for the iOS and Android platforms. We followed existing brand guidelines, ensuring consistent and cohesive styling across mobile and tablet devices. Key to the apps success was to provide a fast and efficient means for customers with little or no cocktail knowledge to be able to find cocktails to suit their tastes using a series of questions leading to a recommended mix!
The native app design and development process
We worked with Sipsmith and their illustrator in order to keep to the company brand style, ensuring brand cohesion with their existing marketing collateral. We initially created user experience wireframes to help detail the user flow through the app, ensuring the selection and ordering of cocktails was fun and achieved quickly. These were presented in InVision, our interactive wireframing software. Once we’d streamlined the different screens we worked on the design. Once design was complete we began the native app development for both iOS and Android platforms.
